Foam Crown Moulding
Everything you want to know about foam crown moulding, Foam crown molding is gaining in popularity. It is often cheaper than wood, and looks almost as good. There are essentially two types: Polyurethane moulding is made from a high density foam and usuaully comes pre-primed. It paints up nicely, and is impervious to rot, insect damage, chipping, cracking, and splitting.
Polystyrene molding is essentially made from styrofoam. These typically cost less than wood crown moldings and polyurethane moldings. Attaches with liquid nail or similar construction adhesive. Comes pre-primed or raw.
