Wire Storage ShelvesClothes here, clothes there, clothes are everywhere, and not a measure of organization to be found anywhere. Does this sound like your closet or the tools in your garage? Then you are in some serious need of more storage space. Wire storage shelves are an inexpensive and easy to install space creating solution. They come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes to accommodate any space or location. It's time to take a shopping trip to your local home improvement store or let your fingers do the walking on the internet to determine what kind of wire storage shelves fit your budget and space available. There are many brands available and come in many sizes for your convenience. Look at what you will be using the wire storage shelves to store and how much weight they will need to support. Take into consideration the type of wall that you are going to anchor these shelves to and what type of materials will be needed. Wire storage shelves can be purchased pre-cut or ready to cut by you. After you have decided on the type of wire storage shelves it's time to take some measurements. Before you take measurements it's a good idea to jot down on paper a rough sketch of where you want your shelves in relation to the space. Are the shelves all going to be level or are there going to be staggered levels. When measuring your wall space you'll need to deduct some for the shelves that are going to sit next to a wall. The amount to deduct may vary from product to product but should be in the range of ¾" if the shelf is only next to one wall and 1 ½" if the shelf is going to touch two walls. You've got your measurements now go shopping and buy your wire storage shelves. Shopping done, let's get down to the fun stuff of installing your new shelves. Take your measuring tape and mark where your clips are going to be mounted. Using your level draw a line to confirm length and positioning. After you have marked all your mounting holes and drawn your lines, take a step back and look where everything is going to go one more time. If something is off or not level now is the time to fix it rather than after everything has been installed. Depending on the type of wall you are installing your shelves on, you will want to use different types of screws and mounts. Concrete walls are going to need a masonry bit to drill your holes while drywall will usually only need the standard fastening pins that come with the wire storage shelves. Drill your holes, mount your brackets as needed and then install your shelves. That's all there is to it! Measure, drill, screw and place shelves; nothing to it! All that's left is to place items on the wire storage shelves and watch your life and space become more organized.
